Did a relief pitcher just do a bat flip?!

Riggleman is a genius. Gave Williams a false sense of security by putting Lorenzen in a 1-2 hole.

He'll be bunting him next PA if anyone's on. Old school.

Looked like Lorenzen was exuberant after the homer because he was annoyed at the inside pitch before.

The one that was a foul and not considered a bunt strike three.

Really has some power, Lorenzen, that was a rocket.

I just had to stop by to say....

    DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?!?!?!?!

I'm almost ready for Lorenzen to give up on pitching and learn how to play LF.

Counsel can get mad if he wants, but once he pulls the bat back, it's a normal foul ball.

    Can Lorenzen play first?

While Lorenzen was batting, I was thinking that if he wants to be known as a hitter he needs to have a productive plate appearance in that key situation. Then he promptly fails to get the easiest of productive outcomes, a sac bunt. Then he comes thru on the 5th pitch, all sliders, for the 3 run HR. I can't see the game, was it a hanging slider right down the middle, middle?

Easy for him - he played CF in college.

No lead is safe? 10-6 becomes 10-8 after a single and a Schoop HR.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The Brewers TV announcers are going nuts with indignation over that call. "That's about the worst call you'll ever see !" Whining that there has to be "accountability" and possible disciplinary action taken.

Michael Lorenzen has now tied Hal Jeffcoat for the Reds single-season HR record for a pitcher with 4.

Jeffcoat, a former outfielder with the Cubs before converting to pitcher in 1954, hit 4 HR's for the Reds in 1957.
