    Oh that's ridiculous. Rule book clearly states batter is out if he "attempts" to bunt with 2 strikes and it's a foul ball.
    What happened to Lorenzen is the same as if he just stood there normal and the pitcher hit his bat in any other manner.
    That was absolutely not a bunt attempt. A batter can square around all he wants, as long as he pulls the bat back.

    Lorenzen really needed to pitch better that inning. Four run lead, inning begins, immediately two runs back.

    Maybe it was the excitement over the homer, but needed to pitch better there.
