Edit: Sims not very effective either, 434 foot homer hit against him. What a pitching staff, hard to believe, really.
Glad to see you stomping on Sims. Those 4 innings he’s pitched for the Reds is more than enough time to decide he’s worthless. On to the next one.

That's the first patented left center opposite field Votto home run I've seen in a long time. Feels good to see.

And to think... we actually traded Frank Robinson before he REALLY got good.

Robby had something like 8 of 9 of his highest OPS seasons with the Reds. Thing is, he was so good that the age 30+ drop off still had him better than most of the rest of the league.
The world is a messy place. People are inconsistent and complicated. Maybe we should see how different things could be if we gave grace and forgiveness to our fellow human beings when they fail to be perfect in our eyes. -- me

I remember him as being pretty good. 1961 he was really good.

All Williams needed was to bunt it fair to the 3B, why bunt it close to the line and give it a chance to go foul?

Looks like the Reds offense has slipped to last season's low level of being able to score after a lead-off doubles!

I don't think the Reds players would be too excited tonight to follow the old baseball conventional strategy of playing for a tie, and then win it in extra innings!
