    Reds at Cubs 9/15/2018

Dang.... game already in progress and no game thread.

I'm a touch behind and catching up. Billy K's swinging against Lester. Peraza beats out a slow roller to third and then steals. Votto grounds out weakly to 2nd and Peraza takes 3rd. Suarez flies to RF to end threat.

The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

Reed on the bump and in need of a good start. Looks like an All-Star in first with a 1-2-3 innings.

Lester through 25 pitches in 1st as all the guys saw a bunch of pitches.

Ervin K's. Welsh claims the book on Ervin is no fastballs early, and then high fastballs to finish him off. Have to watch that.

    Tucker grounds out.

Herrera K's looking on a ball that MIGHT have been outside. It was close. Lester at about 38 pitches.

Reed retires first 2 hitters. Missed the first one, but second was Russell looking. Reed looking sharp so far. Contreras with sharp grounder for single. And now he hits next guy. Struggling to get last out. Lester up.

Lester called out on the same pitch that got Herrera.

Bronson Arroyo joins the broadcast crew in the third inning, wearing cargo shorts and a Doors t-shirt.

Break on through to the other side.

Bronson in the booth is fantastic. Also, the Reds could do worse than having him be minor league pitching coordinator!

Arroyo would make an excellent commentator. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, and well-spoken.
