Hue Jackson is back.

Posted this in the other thread. Normally can’t stand Screamin A Smith and I honestly think he has an axe to grind with Marvin, but he is right on this one.
Hue Jackson is the Bob Bedinghaus of NFL coaches.
Of course he has a home back here under Mike Brown's wing.
Of course he does.
Hue Jackson has been a very good offensive coordinator in the past.
Hue Jackson was the coach of a team the Bengals play twice in the remaining 7 games of the season.
Hue Jackson has a working relationship with Marvin.
The Bengals would be idiots not to bring him back in.
Bringing Hue back is smart. Coach vacancy, play the Browns twice still and has been a successful assistant here. I like the move.
I’m really curious to see what Lewis does with this defense. He seemed very confident about getting it fixed in a hurry during the press conference. I hope he’s right.

This might make sense for a competent organization. But this is the Bengals, where familiarity reigns supreme. The Bengals pitched to Hue to be the coach-in-waiting before he took the Browns job. Color me skeptical that once Marvin steps down that they won't just give it to Hue instead of bringing in badly needed fresh blood.
Smart organizations make moves like this. I am not calling the Bengals a smart organization, but it makes all the sense in the world to bring Hue back. Honestly, there are a bunch of players on this team that had a tremendous amount of success with Hue calling plays, mainly Andy, AJ, and Gio.
At the time it made all the sense in the world to want Hue as the "coach in waiting." Now, not so much, but the Bengals today with Hue are better than the Bengals yesterday without Hue.

Vance Joseph should be back with the Bengals any day now...
