No real surprises. He's still pretty bullish on Shed and TySteve.

There’s mention of that weak throwing arm of Trammell that I brought up in all the CF talk about him.

No Beltre in the top 20, wasn’t he BA’s #10?

Correct. It was Marc Hulet/Fangraphs. Not a Hulet fan. Carry on.

The Late 2020 timeline for Greene is the most interesting thing in the article. Way sooner than I was figuring.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I was surprised that he had Ty Stephenson as a C grade then I reread it and realized it was his position. I need to go to bed.

The P grade for Hunter Greene should have been a clue.

Yeah that seemed bizarrely aggressive for Sickels, who I think is the best in the business.

Also interesting how low he is on Siri and Garcia, two toolsy boom-or-bust types. Especially Siri.

Just exactly how many 2nd base prospects do we need? More and more it looks like Shed Long is the odd man out.

I thought he sounded pretty high on Garcia if he can tame his aggressiveness at the plate. Also sounded like Hernandez could be special at SS if his development doesn't hit a snag (oh thee killer of prospects, AA).

Another mention of 70 speed for Friedl. It seems to get carried along. Those who have seen him play, question it.

Late 2020 for Greene means 2021 is his first full year. If healthy, that sounds about right to me. 2019 and most of 2020 to get through the high minors.

Just as an FYI on prospect grades. From Sickels:

Grade A prospects are the elite. In theory, they have a good chance of becoming stars or superstars. Theoretically, most Grade A prospects develop into stars or at least major league regulars, if injuries or other problems don’t intervene. Note that is a major “if” in some cases.

Grade B prospects have a good chance to enjoy successful careers. Some will develop into stars, some will not. Most end up spending several years in the majors, at the very least in a marginal role.
FTR, Sickels grades the Reds as having two A level prospects, three B+ prospects, and four B/B- prospects.

That looks like a really high top end and little depth, as compared to those few lists already finished.

Just don't let him pitch in the futures game. My sense is that he overextended himself in that national spotlight which led to his injury problems.
