Tennessee lost a few votes to Duke but they're still comfortably #1 this week with 40 first place votes to Duke's 24. If Tennessee keeps its first place next week then they will have earned it big time

I knew this would be a tough game. LSU has good talent. They are a team you do not want to see in your bracket come selection Sunday. UK allowed just too many easy baskets down low is what it came down to. Also LSU hit 86% from the foul line. They deserved the win. Bad call or no call at the end. Ball was obviously in the cylinder. You can't review that so it stands. Still it shouldn't have come down to that. Way too many mistakes during the middle and end of the game. UK has an uphill climb now. With Tennessee coming to town this weekend. I see little chance for them in this one. Tennessee is on fire with no let up in sight. Maybe the bus will break down or they all get the flu other than that UK won't beat Tennessee either time this year. Just not enough there to overcome their talent and experience. But for LSU they have a way open to win the SEC. They get UT at home and if UK or someone else can manage a win over the Vols they have really good chance of walking away with the regular season title.

Another sky is falling post from a UK fan. I'd get such talk if this was from a Brown's fan but UK? With all the success your program has enjoyed why the negativity? You have by far the most talent in the league. I doubt very seriously Tennessee will sweep UK. You'll be fine. We've had this discussion before

Tennessee swept them last year and I see no reason why they won't this season. Tennessee has as much talent as Kentucky and they have much more experience, especially in the back court. If UK wins one of them its great but I am just tempering my expectations. UK should win the rest of their games other that the UT games and if they go into the NCAA's with 6 or 7 losses then they should get a two or three seed. I'll be happy with that.

I can't see them losing two straight at Rupp. My guess is they split with Tenn and win on Sat

    Iím thinking the same.

Iím kinda looking at last nights loss as a blessing in disguise provided they take care of business Saturday night.

At this point, UVA, Duke, Tennessee, and Gonzaga are the most likely for a 1 seed. If Kentucky had gotten a 1, they likely would have been headed west. Itís possible but doubtful they could get a 2 seed and end up in Louisville.

As a Tenn fan, I had mixed emotions about last night's game. I like UK taking an SEC loss but this kinda makes it less likely that they'll lose on Sat

Iím thinking the same. If they drop two in a row at Rupp the sky will be falling even if itís the no 1 team in the nation.

That said, if Kentucky gets a 2 seed against a favorable 1 in either Louisville or KC, I like the chances.

UK will never get a 2 seed in Louisville. It would have to be a one or they will go somewhere else, hopefully DC.

Unbelievable game. Kentucky physically dominated the most physical team in college basketball.

Easily the best game they played all season. Came out in the 2nd half and just took Tennessee apart. This should keep them in line for a two seed as long as they win out with exception being the game in Knoxville.
