When my Spouse and I left Grand Central on our Honeymoon, I saw a motorcade coming down the street. I had us run across the street to the drugstore so I could buy an instant camera. I'm ready to take his picture, but wahlah! He's waving out the window on the side of the street we had been on coming out of Grand Central.

So was his father, the late George H. W. Bush, who reportedly was a good glove man but had little power during his days on the Yale team.
Earlier this year I purchased on Ebay a photo of Babe Ruth circa 1948 shaking hands on the field with the relatively unknown Yale first baseman. I liked it, the arguably greatest and most famous MLB player of all time, shaking hands with a then obscure college player who later became the 41st President.
I like odd pairings like that. Earlier this year I also bought a photo taken when Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford were guest stars on TV's "Remington Steele," with the Yankee duo in baseball uniforms along with series stars Stephanie Zimbalist and future James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, also in uniforms.
I also have a copy of the photo of the bizarre meeting in the Oval Office between Richard Nixon and Elvis Presley.

What a dummy I am. I had the wrong George Bush in my earlier post. Here is the one I meant.

I was wondering if the original was GW Bush. If it was indeed George HW Bush they sure looked an awful lot alike. This makes more sense.

I remember seeing him in the stands behind home plate during Astros games.
