Well, shows what I know. Obviously the market has shifted but I think Goldschmidt was gonna get more than that unless he completely fell apart in 2019.

I'm thinking it's going to be higher than 150. Not Trout or Harper or Machado high but inbetween. 8 years, $250 is my guess about what it will take (or will be a starting point for Puig to negotiate from).

He's not that good. He's been a high 700/low 800 OPS batter since his surprise Rookie year. He's also been injury prone.

I love Votto, but really wish his contract ended last year. I also see Goldschmidt skills deteriorating faster than Votto’s. His K/BB rate already is slipping.
