    2018/2019 Reds Prospect Poll - #3

Taylor Trammell hits 50% on the nose to avoid a runoff and become our #2 prospect. No one voted for Other. I will add 3 new names.

Josiah Gray - (20) 2nd round pick in 2018 out of LeMoyne College. 2.58 ERA in 12 starts. Whip of .088 in Greeneville
Hunter Greene (19) - 1st round pick (2nd overall) in 2017 draft. 4.48 ERA in 68 innings. 89K's 23 walks. 14.63 in April significantly better after that.
Shed Long (23) - 2b from Jacksonville (AL.) HS. Drafted 12th round of 2013 draft. .765 OPS in AA with 19 steals.
    Jonathan India - (21) 1st round pick (5th overall) in 2018 draft. .240 avg, .380 OBP, .814 OPS over 3 levels in 2018.
Tony Santillan (21) - Drafted 2nd round of 2015 Draft. 3.08 ERA 134/38 K to walks in 2 levels ending in AA
Jose Siri (23) - OF from Dominican Republic. Signed in 2012 as International Free Agent in 2012. Bonus Unknown to me. .743 OPS over 2 levels in 2018. 23 steals
Tyler Stephenson (22) - C from Kennesaw Mountain, Kennesaw, GA. Drafted 1st round of 2015 Draft (#11 overall)

Again, if I missed someone, vote for them and I'll add them.

The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

I voted Hunter Greene for #2, so it makes sense I give him my #3 vote.

M2: We play on a field that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with gloves. Who's gonna do it? You? You, JaxRed? Dick Williams has a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Aristides Aquino and you curse the defensive advanced stats. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know; that Aquino's non-tender, while tragic, probably saved runs. And Friedl's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, *saves runs*. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want Friedl on that wall. You need Friedl on that wall. Player Development Executives executives use words like range, arm, speed. We use these words as the backbone of a career spent defending outfield gaps. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to an internet poster who rises and sleeps under the Reds themed-blanket of Vermont flannel, and then questions the thread count! I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way to purchase one of the Reds' attractively priced season-ticket packages, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a glove and go to the outfield. Either way, I don't give a bobblehead what you think you are entitled to!

JaxRed: Did you order the non-tender?

    M2: I did the job I...

JaxRed: [interupts him] *Did you order the non-tender?*

    M2: *You're right I did!*

Here's my question about Hunter Greene, do they send him to Daytona or do they keep him in Dayton? He's still really raw and really young. Plus, the FSL makes pitching seem easy. You can tear through it without correcting your bad habits. I'd like to avoid having him get a harsh reality adjustment in AA. My expectation is the Reds will be aggressive with him.

Yea I think the might start him in Dayton but not wait too long to promote him to Daytona.
The television crews left and about 10 reporters remained in the room. That's when Price took his turn doing the talking.
What followed was a five-minute, 34-second expletive-filled tirade. The final tally was 77 uses of the "F" word or a variant and 11 uses of a vulgar term for feces (two bovine, one equine).

I wonder if India starts there, or goes to Daytona...
