I'm continuing with my "upside" portion of the voting. Went with Garcia, though I could easily have gone for Hernandez or Bautista.

Jose Garcia walked 19 times in just over 500 plate appearances. 3.7% Woeful.
Jose Garcia struck out 112 times in just over 500 plate appearances. 22.6%. Borderline woeful.
The numbers are what they are - 112/19.

    Miguel Bautista please.

Looks like I'm the only Keury Mella guy here. He's close to the big leagues and has been good in the minors for the most part including last year at AA and a little bit of AAA. He gets a decent amount of Ks, doesn't walk too many and limits HR. I think there is prospect fatigue at work here. I like him better than Vlad actually.

I also have Mella, but don't think I like him more than Vlad. I think he still has a pretty high ceiling and he is pretty close to contributing to the Reds. I can see Garcia and he may have more upside, but Mella's good minor league results in 2018, plus his big fastball, plus his proximity to the majors wins out for me.

Will they use him as a reliever?

If so, his potential impact is muted by both innings and opportunity.

There are at least 12 guys ahead of him on the bullpen list now-- and likely to be more by the time Spring Training begins.

Wish there was a macro for me to vote for Herget, because I imagine I'll be doing it for quite a while...
