Who the heck are these guys requesting interviews with competent coaches...
If you have a losing record at Reds games, please stop going.

Doesn’t mean they will hire them. The Bengals would be wise to stay away from McDaniels and his clown act.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

Promising though that they are at least thinking about going outside the org. Honestly from the press conf it doesn't seem like Hue has much of a shot...that was my vibe.

The last time the Bengals hired a coach he was a hot coordinator.

If it was going to be Hue it would have been announced immediately.

Good sign they are contacting outside people. Hopefully Mikey will allow a new coach to pick his own staff. Marvin was forced to keep Brat and Alexander when he was hired.

    Akili Smith?

Other than their skin color what similarities are there?
One single season to draw a sample size from. That’s the big similarity. Haskins is literally the biggest boom or bust QB in the draft.

I doubt he has the same problems Akili had (Wonderlic, work ethic), but having one season to draw from is why I made the comparison.

You’ll know when coaches start pulling out. I think McDaniels will be the first one to publicly say no.

    Two I’d like to see:
    Vic Fangio
    Kris Richard (Cowboys DB coach)

The only ones high on Haskins is Ohio State fans and it happens in every Bengals draft. Last year was an anomaly with Billy Price and Sam Hubbard but the Bengals typically haven’t taken players from Ohio State.

McDaniels is a weird dude...he knows the window is closing in NE...no back up QB to take over after Brady retires...I think he is seriously considering a jump.

    Lol false.

Unless literally every single NFL mock draft I’ve read in the past 2 days is written by OSU fans he is unanimously considered a top 10 pick and number 1 Qb in the draft with him going to either the Giants or Jaguars.

You are correct. That’s because this is the weakest QB class in years.

Someone will bite the bullet and it will possibly be one of those teams. Had Herbert not pulled out, he would have likely had competition.

He will be a first round pick and will probably be gone by the time the Bengals pick, but I’m debating that he has only one season of success vs 2-3 seasons compared to other QBs.

If you want another comparison, Cam Newton. Both had one season to evaluate but Newton is also a completely different skillset.

Ah, so the comps so far:

    Akili Smith
    Cam Newton

    Mmhmm

Honestly, if you don’t look at Haskins and see an NFL talent either you don’t know anything about football or you are somehow biased. I know there’s a lot of OSU haters, so I’ll assume you are just a hater.
