So, does that mean Cornerbacks from that conference never get tested so they never have to be very good?

    Re: 2019 NFL Season

Andy Reid's had player morality issues his whole career, but so have other successful HC's. Just sayin'.

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

Chiefs GM Brett Veach stated Tyreek Hill "will not be partaking in any team activities."

"Earlier this evening we were made aware of the audio between Tyreek and Crystal [Espinal]," Veach affirmed in a team statement. "We were deeply disturbed by what we heard and are deeply concerned. Our main focus main concern is with the young child." The recording obtained by CBS Kansas City included Hill telling Espinal, "You need to be terrified of me, too, (expletive)." It wasn't stated outright, but Hill will effectively stay suspended while the team gathers and reviews all of the information. If verified, this could very well make for the end of the wideout's NFL career.

    Re: 2019 NFL Season

NEP landed a perfect weapon for Brady's short passing attack. Perfect Goalline weapon to replace Gronkowski there.

    From Rotoworld with Rotoworld comments:

Patriots selected Arizona State WR N'Keal Harry with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Harry (6’2/228) declared for the draft after a prolific three-season run as a Sun Devil, amassing a career 213/2,889/22 (13.6 YPR) receiving line and efficiently catching 85% of his targets with 20-plus-yard gains on 44% of his receptions last year. Harry helped his stock in Indy with a 4.53 forty, 38 ˝-inch vertical, and cumulative 88th-percentile SPARQ score, also measuring in with long arms (33") for a wide catch radius. A physical clasher who maximizes his size and averaged 7.1 yards after catch per reception in 2018, Harry may be best suited for a "big slot" role after thriving on screens and slants in the Pac 12 but failing to show separation skills. Wide receiver was the Patriots' biggest need coming into the weekend with next to nothing behind Julian Edelman. It's obviously a great landing spot for Harry.

    Re: 2019 NFL Season

    From Rotoworld...

Giants traded up with the Seahawks to select Georgia CB DeAndre Baker with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

New York gave up the 37th pick, the 132nd pick, and the 142nd pick to move up. Baker (5’11/193) made 30 starts in four years at UGA, collecting 31 career pass breakups and seven interceptions on his way to earning the 2018 Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back. PFF College credited Baker with an SEC-low 40.2 passer rating when targeted in 2018. Although Baker managed a 4.52 forty at the Combine, he improved to the 4.48-4.49 range at Georgia’s Pro Day and is more of an instincts-based cover man than dominant athlete. Baker would likely be best employed as a perimeter Cover-2 corner or even a Cover-3 slot, but he will be asked to play a lot of man in DC James Bettcher's defense. He profiles as a high-floor, low-ceiling NFL prospect.

With all that money they're paying Wilson, SEA needs a lot of 5th Rd picks to fill out the roster for the next several seasons, so this move makes a lot of sense. For NYG? It works for them, too, because they only have to keep the game close for Barkley to control its outcome. Have a feeling SEA was shopping that pick to everybody and the NYG bit.

SEA picked up two 4th Rd picks an hour earlier along with the 1st Rounder they flipped to the Giants.

I wouldn’t classify a Dana Holgorsen QB as “low risk”. If anything, he’s Brandon Weeden 2.0.

The Giants not only made a hilarious decision at 6, but the guy they should have taken fell into a division rivals lap. Disaster of a first round for them.

I don't know why people think it was so bad. Media/fans fall in love with stats and Buckeye fans are are quick to tell us how terrible it is because their guy was the 3rd QB taken.

Meh. No one can even name anyone else on that Duke offense.

Sort of. Sweat is great value as the 26th pick, but they overpaid quite a bit to trade up to 26. But yeah, seems like they got 2 really good players. Maybe the Washington front office wasn't as much of a disaster as was being reported

I'd say the Giants draft has been a disaster. They spent the 17th pick on a replacement for Damon Harrison, who they traded away last year for a 5th round pick. They could have just kept Harrison, an elite DT, and used that pick to shore up another area of need. And Interior run-stuffing DL are decreasing in value, but the Giants spent a premium pick on him. Daniel Jones might work out, but he's for sure the most polarizing QB in the draft. And Baker seems like a solid selection, but they traded 3 draft picks to move up 7 spots. There were 4 CBs lumped together in most rankings (Baker, Williams, Ya-Sin, and Murphy). At least one of those guys still would have been available at 37. If they had Baker ranked massively above the rest, then it makes sense to move up, but most people didn't. And all of this is without even mentioning how they traded OBJ for an underwhelming draft package.

All 3 of those guys could turn out to be great, and so all of this will be irrelevant, but I think it's hard to make a case that the Giants worked the draft well. Gettleman has also not earned the benefit of the doubt as he's made one head scratching move after another in his tenure in NY.

Dwayne Haskins had a draft party where he charged people $50 to get in. Always need a side hustle.

Big deal. Except for rookie camp, there aren't any team activities scheduled until mini-camp.

If Daniel Jones was worthy of being picked 6 in the draft, you would.

I mean, it's not even certain Haskins was rated better than Jones for the Redskins. There were reports they were trying to trade up in front of Giants to take Jones. I have no idea if it was just smoke, but it does appear the NFL front offices probably loved Jones more than Haskins.
