I don't usually critique batting orders. Not a big believer in it. So now I'll critique the batting order for Opening Day.

Reds' hot streak last year had Scheb leading off and Wink hitting 6. I would have gone back to that. Scheb exercised good bat discipline in the leadoff spot.

Also, with Peraza's walk issues, batting him ahead of Barnhart/Iglesias could be a problem. Nobody's going to give Jose much to hit. Wink would be tougher at six, come in over the plate or he'll take the walk.

I would have gone with Schebler, Peraza, Votto, Suarez, Puig, Winker, Barnhart, Iglesias, Pitcher.

Since I usually only post about batting orders to complain I'll chime in:

    It's perfect <3

I read on game day preview that Winker has hit .444 vs Taillon.

Don’t know how Kemp has done vs Taillon.

Good hitting teams have lots of LOB, as they get more base runners.

Honestly, I could see the OD lineup being a below average team on offense.
Your lineup has the team’s worse hitter getting the most AB’s

I think the 1976 Reds hold the all time team record for LOB, but I’m not sure.

I really like Winker hitting lower in the lineup with guys on in front of him. Peraza isn't ideal as a leadoff guy, but with improvements I could see him have a .350 OBP this year.

Weather outlook for those of us out of town? Getting my son out of school early today so we can watch and don’t want to disappoint if a delay is possible.

It’s time, winter is over, we have hope again. My Mr Sunshine but is gone.
With our new staff we will, at the least, have a chance everyday.
We have a very solid offense even without Scooter and Senze. A good mix of patient hitters with a guy or two who will step right in and take an uncontrolled hack looking to do damage.
With Scooter out and Iglesias in, we have a little more d and a little less thump. That’s ok.
Let’s get this **** started baby! Come on Luis

The weather is more than fine. No delays due to weather.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

Small sample size, but Kemp is 0-3 vs Taillon.

Winker is 4-9 including a HR vs Taillon (.444) as you said.
