I read just yesterday that his demands appeared to be lowering to the range of 3 years / $40 Million.....similar to the Zack Britton deal. Also, Keuchel is rumored to considering a 1 year deal. I would try to grab them both....push DeSclafani to the bullpen, and use Iglesias as a setup guy. Let Zach Duke and maybe David Hernandez go home. I know some will point out that we would have too many starting pitchers if/when Wood returns.....but it would work itself out. Not even sure Wood ever takes the mound for the Reds, and it would not be the end of the world for Mahle to be in the bullpen when everyone is healthy....which will be rare as the season progresses.

There are no bats just setting on the open market....but adding those guys would strengthen our starting pitching and really improve the bullpen. Another bonus would be keeping them from the Brewers who are linked to both. One solid winning streak, and we are back in this thing. Keuchel could easily be moved if we truly fall out later in the season.
