2019 Cincinnati Bengals Part 2: The Zac Taylor Era Begins!

Figured we could start this for the draft.

2019 Cincinnati Bengals Part 2: The Zac Taylor Era Begins!

Here’s my final mock on the simulator before the draft:

I was planning on taking Dexter Lawrence in the second round but if Lock slips to the second he would have to be in play.

Pitts sniped them for Bush but I can deal with a Tackle...hopefully they focus on D in the 2nd and 3rd rounds...for a second I thought Haskins was the guy.

First round pick: Jonah Williams (OT-Alabama)

Looks like the Bobby Hart era is over and Dalton has no excuses.

I’m hoping the Broncos fleeced them for Bush. I think the Bengals would have still went o-line but I’m amazed at how the draft opened up for the Bengals. I thought Jonah Williams would have been a Giant or Jaguar.

Unless Williams turns out to be a guard like many think he will.

Nah, he’ll either replace Hart or start at LT and they’ll slide Glenn to RT.

Solid pick for the Bengals. Day 1 starter.

Listening to Jags local announcers (Boselli and another ex-Jag), they said Williams has to play Guard, not tackle.

    Rob Manfred: "Hold my beer"

He’s not unseating John Miller or Clint Boling. At least in the short term. Could move there in the future, but he’s easily Bobby Hart’s replacement.

Taylor says Williams natural position is LT however the move allows them to play the best 5 offensive lineman...

Hart, Price, Boling, Miller, Glenn, Hopkins, Westerman etc...solid group.

And for everyone saying he will move to guard Williams gave up 0 sacks in 466 snaps.

It’s because of the short arms.

Which is why I said “in the future”. I think the Bengals just locked up a 10 year starter on the offensive line whether it’s at guard or tackle.
