Why are we forcing Farmer into the lineup at positions in the field where he's barely ever played before?
Last night we had Farmer at 2B, where before this season he played a total of 32 minor league innings in 2017. VanMeter at DH. VanMeter came up as a 2nd baseman.
Today we have Farmer at 1B, yes a much easier position than 2B, but he had a total of 35 minor league innings in 2017 and a handful of games with the Dodgers. Dietrich at DH. Dietrich has played a lot more 1B in his career, including about 30 games last year with Miami.
I just don't get it. Are we so in love with Farmer's bat that we're trying to make him into a super utility guy by playing him at positions he's barely played before?

First time I've thought having Votto out of the lineup actually IMPROVES our chances of winning.
Thankfully Votto is out of the lineup!
Pretty funny to see RZ transition from Winker can't play defense, trade him/send him to AAA to Winker can't hit put him on the bench to Where is Winker? He must play every day.
