AL East doesn't look strong this year at all. It's easy to pile up wins when you have Baltimore and Toronto in your division. I'd have the AL East only ahead of the godawful AL central in terms of strength.
Maybe, but they have three teams that are head and shoulders better than anybody in the NL Central.

NL Central teams are a combined 131-127 against teams outside the NL Central. Seems like they are pretty much a .500 division.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

If the Reds had a great lineup they'd be better than the Dodgers, but then again if my feet were three sizes bigger I'd wear size 13 shoes instead of 10s.. Darnit!

Well, technically there's nothing keeping you from wearing 13s. Just sayin'.
The world is a messy place. People are inconsistent and complicated. Maybe we should see how different things could be if we gave grace and forgiveness to our fellow human beings when they fail to be perfect in our eyes. -- me
