Big chance tonite, local boy Josh VanMeter- coupla hits hopin hard. Few Fort Wayne IN area boys have made it to the bigs. One not too long ago made it to manager of the Indians. Uh.... can't remember his name (swell indication of me age). OK, looked it up- Eric the Wedge. Has anyone even heard of FWI?

What's everyone's read on VanMeter? Is he pressing? Is he not getting enough at bats? His OBP is pretty good but there's a lack of pop with his bat. Is this going to be a short stay?
EDIT: Is he really only 5'11" 165? He looks much thicker.
I like Van Meter's swing, no major, glaring hole -- unlike some right hand hitting Reds.
I think hes just not getting enough consistent AB's. Guys never been a part time player and has done extremely well as a PH considering.
I don't know where you get "average pitches seen" but he seems to always work the count. I have as much faith in him as anyone in that lineup.
