Have you seen the video of her signing the ball for a young fan at the ESPY’s. No interaction and didn’t once look at him. The arrogance is astounding.

That's a giant pile of nothing.

I was watching Federer and Nadal sign autographs after their Wimbledon semi on Friday. I remember because I was impressed they were signing at all. No looking up. No eye contact. I think that’s pretty much how they all do it.

I've loved Rapinoe's game ever since her Freshman day's at UP. Always thought she was the best player on the field...just lacked experience.

That is always for huge crowds which is understandable. This is a 1 on 1 interaction where she goes out her way to pay no attention. If you think this is professional or role model esque, there’s a problem.

Just stop. Athletes are under zero obligation to scribble their name on anything, let alone do so with a smile and a pithy one liner that a kid will remember forever. She signed the thing for the kid, that’s more than 90% of athletes right there.

It cracks me up: the same people who will poo poo women demanding equality are the same people who will single out a female athlete for ... checks card ... signing an autograph?

    How embarrassing.

But we know this isn’t why some people are upset about Rapinoe. It’s just something they can complain about instead of what they are actually upset about because they know if they go “there” they will correctly be labeled sexist and/or homophobic.
What would you say.....ya do here?

In America, many athletes won't sign stuff unless you pay them up front.

I couldn't even figure out what the supposed problem with it was through multiple viewings until I read the comments. I find the hot take you're pushing here to be completely ridiculous. Just like a whole pile of no.

Federer told kids wearing Nadal gear he wouldn't sign for them.
