They are delayed in Indianapolis in the top of the 8th. Alex Blandino was hit by a pitch to lead the inning off. Somehow, Blandino was thrown out at second by the catcher. No caught stealing is listed. Gennett then singled, and Colon reached on a fielder's choice. VanMeter and Aquino are up next.

In the bottom of the 8th, Isabel stroked a one-out single for his 3rd hit on the night. Tyler Stephenson then grounded into a double play.
I would have expected to see 1 Hit an 10 Walks from Moss. Guess he was trying to stop nibbling and making the perfect pitch.

Billings is mad as hell and are not going to take it any more as they explode for 5 runs in the top of the first. A HBP, a single and a walk loaded them up with one out. Quin Cotton then doubled home a pair. A sac fly brought in a third run, before Edwin Yon (1) unloaded a 2-run blast. Mustangs lead 5-0 as the game enters the second inning.

The Louisville game has resumed. Mitch Keller has been pulled after the delay. Good. The Bats weren't doing much against him anyway. Tyler Lyons is on for Indy. He walks VanMeter to load them up. Grrr. Inning-ending 6-4-3 off the bat of Aquino.

Cory Thompson comes on to pitch the 9th, and Birmingham tacks on 2 insurance runs. 7-4 'Nooga deficit heading into the bottom of the 9th.

What has happened to Cory Thompson? Over his first 21 appearances, covering 33.0 innings, he compiled a 1.91 ERA. Over his last 3 contests, he has allowed 6 runs in just 2.1 innings.

Chattanooga has something cooking. LaValley leads off and draws his 3rd walk. One out later, Daal laces a single, his third hit on the night. With two down, Alfredo Rodriguez singles home a run. 7-5 now. Jose Siri with an infield single to reload the bases.

There is no joy in 'Nooga, Mighty Mitch Nay bounces out.

Chattanooga pitching was nondescript at best.

Ibandel Isabel singled twice and homered (17).

Calten Daal singled twice and doubled.

    Gavin LaValley drew 3 walks.

Quin Cotton has doubled, homered (1), drawn a walk, scored 3 runs and driven home 5. And the game is only in the 4th inning. Yikes! The Mustangs lead 10-5, but does anyone feel this one is in the bag yet?

If these Gameday strike zones are anywhere near accurate, minor league pitchers tend to catch a lot more of the strike zone on their strikes than their major league counterparts.
