    Where was Puig.

    Billy would have had it.

Mahle got squeezed on that HR at bat.

    All true IMO.

Yeah, it was an incredibly tough play for a guy who hasn't played much CF in his first game in a new park. Welsh is right here. Its was just one of those plays unfortunately.

Bleh Senzel. At least hit the damn cutoff

First time all season Ive not seen Puig sell out for the opportunity...I know it wasnt his ball but what else was he doing on that play. Outfielders always have to make themselves part of the play when possible or needed.

If Puig is even 1/2 speed jogging that direction on contact....LaStella is held at 3rd

don't worry everyone who is wondering where puig was. chris welsh assures you there was no reason for puig to back up the play. and then chris welsh will tell you that 3 more times.

Welsh justifying Puig not moving toward CF. "The ball was going to be caught or a HR" ? What kind of logic is that? Puig should have been moving toward center.

Just don’t get what Chris was thinking there. Those are the exact plays when the RF SHOULD back up. Tough running plays at the wall, that’s when you need Puig. Not the easy ones.

Because that's a fly out if Billy is still in center.
But I still like Senzel out there more.
I like Senzel at the plate better.

I mean ultimately the result is probably the same and that certainly wasn't an ordinary play, but a Puig throw certainly could have had a better chance.

Mahle served it up on a tee for La Stella, though he was getting squeezed in that AB to kind of force his hand. All comes back to the need for robo umps.
I dont care, Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. Hes in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.

I would give Senzel a pass on that play because of his inexperience in CF.

Well, Mahle didn't let the outfield goofiness or bad strike zone get to him - three quick outs. Time to get a few more runs
