    RIP Tyler Skaggs

    Mike DiGiovanna
    @MikeDiGiovanna

    #Angels have announced that pitcher Tyler Skaggs died this morning in Texas. The game vs. #Rangers has been canceled.
    “I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Woah!
    The world is a messy place. People are inconsistent and complicated. Maybe we should see how different things could be if we gave grace and forgiveness to our fellow human beings when they fail to be perfect in our eyes. -- me

    Sad
    The television crews left and about 10 reporters remained in the room. That's when Price took his turn doing the talking.
    What followed was a five-minute, 34-second expletive-filled tirade. The final tally was 77 uses of the "F" word or a variant and 11 uses of a vulgar term for feces (two bovine, one equine).

    Wow, that is really shocking news. Anyone know the last time a MLB game was cancelled due to a death?

    The Angels had postponed their game when Nick Adenhart died 10 years ago, can't remember any others more recent.

    I know nothing about this, but the age + height might fit with an enlarged heart problem. Very sad and RIP no matter the cause.

    Very sad. Is there a cause of death reported?

    Prayers for the family.
