I lived in an apartment for 11 years. The place almost burned down when the idiots downstairs from me used the stove to stack old pizza boxes on, accidently bumped it to turn it on, then fell asleep. I decided then and there that I wasn't going to let other people jeopardize my belongings with their negligence.
