Dietrich is probably still nursing his knee, and Scooter likely will get days off on a semiregular basis because of his groin.

I like getting Van Meter into lineup. But I hate having two lefty second baseman and neither one is in versus a righty.

Guess I’m not savvy on the languages our 4th and 5th string catchers can handle. Lavarnway has 3 fingers and 2 HR, double and a walk.....so he’s never caught a non-English speaking pitcher?
