Unless you are missing a ďbĒ I donít know what that is. Have his hits been swinging bunts or 4 hoppers? Since the break and maybe a bit before his swing is condensed and quick. Heís striking the ball well....we know heís not steroid Barry Bonds when he faces lefties but thatís what he seems like right now. We know heís hitting way better than he is overall but heís also swinging a hot bat.....if one of our other players are struggling for a bit, yes....Iíd like to see him get a few starts against even righties.

Since the ASB I have Ervin as 9/20 against righties with a couple walks. Mainly a singles hitter yes. HOLY SAMPLE SIZE GUISE!!!!! I know.

We have Winker who I like and yes good sample size numbers want Winker up bs a righty....I do too. VanMeter....keep giving him looks. Senzel I pray gets healthy ASAP and in there everyday. Puig is my favorite Reds player this year....heís been great since mid May but he hasnít been very good of late. Yeah I want him in there but heís not looked very good a lot the last week or so.

Maybe itís something for September when we are maybe completely out of it....but I want more looks at Ervin vs righties. Heís about the same age as Scooter was when everyone knew career .615 OPS vs lefties Scooter couldnít hit lefties.....then given a chance last year went close to .800 most over the year vs lefties ending around .780 vs lefties.

Iím never ever mad when Ervin isnít starting vs a righty....but I do want him getting more looks sometime before this season is over....unless they catch fire and stay alive the rest of the way.

No anger, no hurting when he returns from his Ruthian vs lefties or struggles vs righties. I donít mind giving Bell credit for putting Ervin in good situations to succeed and maybe that helped him have more recent confidence vs righties of late. When hitters get comfortable at the dish and on a hot streak, they donít care a whole lot about who is on the mound.

Lifetime 402 PAs and an .803 OPS.

So even after the crash, Ervin may be pretty good.

    Hope so.

For sure. Because of another medical condition I've had severe bouts of vertigo in the past. It incapacitated me like nothing I've ever experienced. It is really hard to explain to someone who has never had it.

.990 against Lefties for his career....likely not that good vs lefties and likely not as bad as career numbers vs righties

Still glad heís doing well now and I continue to love our bench every night

Dish and Fox Sports can't get an agreement on contract.
Sounds like the Reds game is a blackout for us Dish customers until they can get together.
If anybody finds alternate online options, please share.

I don't remember Jim Day/someone other than Thom doing this many games last year.

Jim Day: Itís been a different Rockies team since the Reds saw them.

No, it hasnít. They lost six straight before the Reds went out there. Their only two Ws in a 12-game span were against the Reds, who completely sharted themselves in Denver.

Reds down 3-0 on a Daniel Murphy home run.

That Reds scouting report on Murphy remains SPECTACULAR.
