VanMeter is legit. Good contact skill, good patience, and plenty of pop.

I get that they had to rush Tucker back, but why did they have to start him?

    Agreed, a lot to like.

I did not realize Castillo's percentage of strikes was the lowest in all of the majors.

Castillo gets out of trouble, but 60 pitches in 3 innings isn't good

60 pitches through 3 innings isn't ideal, would love if Luis could put up 3 more scoreless but it'll be tough.

Would that technically make him the wildest pitcher in baseball?

    Re: Rockies @ Reds 7-26-19 6:40 PM

Why don't Reds pitchers throw inside more? It seems the only time they go inside is a mistake pitch. When the Reds won the 1990 WS, their pitching coach was Stan Williams.
He preached throwing inside. He was a strikeout pitcher for the Dodgers, playing at the same time as Don Drysdale. I sure Williams learned plenty from Drysdale. Dibble, Myers, Charlton, Rijo, Armstrong, etc. weren't afraid to throw inside. Another piece of baseball that's missing today.
