The Galvis run meant nothing, no reason to send him.

With 2 outs you generally send the runner if he has even a 40% chance of scoring, especially with a weaker hitter coming up.

FWIW, if Barnhart had tried to score from 2nd on VanMeter's single, he would have been safe as the throw was up the line. Although the correct play was clearly to hold him.

God, Redszone will complain about anything. How does this actually make it out of the game thread anyway? BTW, I saw at least 14 missed strike calls that would have changed the complexion of the game as much as Suarez doing his impression of a crane attempting to take flight because an alligator emerged from the water.
Are you related or good friends with House? I'm not following why you're so into defending him. As for complaining about anything, I complain about losing games and House has greatly contributed to losing at least 3.

Exactly. 3rd base coaching is a job where no one notices the success only the failure. The best coach is fittingly unknown and then there's the infamous Mr House

This is true. If you notice the 3B coach for something other than picking his nose as he's giving the signs, then he probably sucks.

Joe Garagiola said that sign means pick a good one btw.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    ahh, whatever.

I'm less defending him and more I don't really care. The Reds have been thrown out at home 14 times. That includes GB's when the runner on third breaks on contact. I bet if we went back over every game this year, his mistakes total 4-7, and in those instances maybe the Reds lost half those games. In those losses maybe half were by 2 runs or less.

We might be talking about 3-4 games this year where holding the runner MIGHT have lead to a Reds win, or might not. And everyone demanding a guy get fired will say "if the Reds miss the playoffs by one game..."

    yawn.

Similar to Offensive Linemen in football. Only notice holding and procedure calls.
