Compared to the other teams, the Reds handled him pretty well. The team that Stan did the "worst" against was, surprisingly, the Cubs. .317/.400/.539. He killed the Dodgers - especially in Brooklyn .339/.448/.660

Brooklyn is the city that tabbed him as Stan the Man

Haven't been able to figure out how to get stats for pitchers against individual teams, [if somebody can help me, I'd appreciate it]. but I remember from my misspent youth that Warren Spahn beat the Reds more than 60 times in his career. My father loved to see him pitch, so I must have been present at 20 of them.

Spahn was 62-29 against the Reds, with a 2.94 ERA.

Pull up their Baseball Reference, hover over Splits, and hit Career and you will eventually see their stats against each team.

Anybody mention Mr. Tenace? No? Good!

Berkman, Oswalt, and Derrek Lee immediately came to mind for me. Pujols as well but it was at a time where he killed everyone. Yelich has definitely taken over the mantle since his trade to the Brewers. As far as a "lesser" player who fits the bill, Ryan Theriot for some reason sticks out as a perennial thorn in our side. (After checking the numbers, a career .302 hitter and 5 of his 17 career HR came against the reds). Also remember Randy Wolf always handling us pretty well.

Brooks Robinson almost single-handedly stole a world series from the Reds.
