Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)
I had no idea she was that old. Also had no idea she was on NPR as I knew her from ABC. Sad to hear.
Very sad indeed. I thoroughly enjoyed This Week With David Brinkley. Must see tv for me every week. It's also a bummer since it was due to complications from breast cancer as my wife is a breast cancer survivor

RIP, Cokie.

I also used to watch This Week with David Brinkley. She was always good and even handed on that show. I believe she was a well respected journalist and reporter. She didn't have to shout out her questions and be a nuisance to get recognition. Just a very good professional. RIP Cokie Roberts.
Reds Fan Since 1971
I will miss her measured, authoritative and objective analysis. It's too bad that last part seems quaint these days.
Next Reds manager, second shooter. --Confirmed on Redszone.
