RIP to the original bassist from Lynnard Skynnard

He left in '71 after beginning with them in '64 and helped creat '38 Special with Ronnie Van Zandt's brother.

Lynnard Skynnard was the first concert I ever saw (Doobie Brothers opened). Unfortunately, it was in the Fall of '74 and I don't think I saw '38 Special.

I'm sure Dom has a story about his special bass.

So, I'm sitting with my Father-in-Law in the Memorial Coliseum and he says that he saw Doobie Brother's there. Said that I saw them there in the Fall of '74 and he said that's when he saw them. Small world.
