His kid is rooting for 14 wins.

What the heck am I going to do with a kid? I want a car or a boat or something.
I think this is the funniest thread I've ever read - even funnier than when first posted. Sorry, FC, I have enough kids, and grandkids, and great grandkids. I could use a bottle of Viagra, though. And someone to test it on. <img border="0" alt="[Devil]" title="" src="graemlins/devil.gif" />

I want in on this little bet. If Jimmy gets 15 wins, I want to know that FCB will not have anymore children

I think Gully has handled Haynes beautifully, and that Boone and Gully have more often than not pulled the plug on the questionables in the exact perfect spot in the 5+IP range to save them from worse damage. However, I've wondered about this thread from day #1. Haynes is less than 2 years removed from 12 wins with the hapless Brewers, why should an additional win earn anyone Sainthood? He actually had almost the exact same ERA last year that he has coming into today's game. Same hit, walk, K ratios, IPs per start. Almost no change.
What exactly is the difference that merits Sainthood?

Jimmy gets win #6 on 6/6.
Strange and powerful forces are at work here...
I see what you mean: I'm constantly predicting 14 wins out of guys with career ERAs of 5.44
(divine knowledge?)
BTW, one thing that's interesting about Haynes this year is that in the past, he has had very good stuff. And lost with it, consistently. This year, the stuff is not there. So I'm confused-- if you take good stuff away from a loser, how does he suddenly become a potential 14 game winner?
makes you wonder how he's going to pitch if his stuff returns? Better? or worse?
Jimmy Haynes-- this is one guy that I'd never care to project.

Let's hope that we don't have to wait till 7/7 for Jimmy to get win # 7!

But if he were to get win #10 on 10/10, I could live with that

Haynes a Hoz favorite in the winter is doing OK
