Word of mouth from a RZ member. I won't mention the person b/c I do not want you to hold it against them. We worked at the same company. We happened to notice each other's multiple REDS junk hanging in our respective offices.
At the time I did not even own a computer at home! RZ, out of all honesty, caused me to buy a home computer and subscribe to an on-line service.
Welcome to the 21st century, RFA!
Well, so much for the tee shirts bringin' 'em in!
Seriously, though, I came as part of the original migration from the Enquirer mess.
I'd like to hear a "How RedsZone was born" story, what is the migration you all speak of?
Go Gators!
Fastball
Dayton
Dickiethon
Thanks, GIK! I used to be the "I don't need the internet at home, I work on a computer all day at work" type.Originally Posted by GIK

All thanks to RZ! :GAC:
p.s. I'd like to hear a story about the birth of RZ too. I have caught numerous tales of the "old days", but would love to read about it in a thread as a whole story.
Rojo, I believe the cincinnati.com folks were the orignal migration, the Pilgrims of Redszone if you will.
Us folks who came from the Dayton site are more like the Puritans who followed, passing around scarlet letters and burning witches.
IIRC, the those two groups came together on the Thon site around the time the Jr. deal went down and then splintered when Thon went the way of the dodo. There were a number of posters doing double, perhaps triple, duty when Redszone first started up. We'd hear about it over on the Dayton site.
The final push from Dayton over to here came in the fall of 2000. For me it was a REDREAD re-post of something Steve4192 wrote that caused me to check it out.
15, can you remember the name of the guy who moderated the Dayton site at the end and chose to stay when everyone else left? He was a good guy and hopefully he's here now with another handle

Jay something
Jay... at last check he was hurtling around in a pool of stupidity over there.Originally Posted by M2

She didn't like guys like me, rfs62, and rem. I don't know why. :mhcky21:
"In my day you had musicians who experimented with drugs. Now it's druggies experimenting with music" - Alfred G Clark (circa 1972)
Yep - it was Jay.
I checked in on the old Fastball site about 6 months ago. It wasn't pretty.
For Jay's sake, I hope he at least gets a semi-regular visit from someone like dude, Ben Marcum, or Danny Boy...
I found RZ by way of a fellow owner in one of my OOTP leagues!
