I'm down with Matt Foley motivation speaker.

I also dig the Sherry Oteri/Will Ferrell cheerleading team.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Will Ferrel/???? high school music teachers lounge act. I love that.

I'm a huge Darrel Hammond fan. His Clinton is perfect.

    In no particular order...

    1. Now is the time on sprocketts when we Dance! - Mike Myers
    2. Clinton - Darrel Hammond
    3. Al Gore - Darrel Hammond
    4. Gumby - Murphy
    5. Perot - Carvey
    6. Sean Connery on Jeopardy - I forget the actor, but i think it's Hammond
    7. Versacci - Maya Rudolph
    8. Chris Farley as a Chippendales Dancer (ok that was a skit, not a character)
    9. Joe Piscipo & Eddie Murphy as Sinatra and Stevie Wonder
    10. Dukakis - Lovitt (sp?)
    11. You look marvelous - Billy Crystal

But without a doubt the greatest sketch character of all time was not on SNL...

Homey the Clown. cuz Homey don't play that.

I don't think it's a top ten, but Jimmy Fallon and Rachel Dratch as the Boston kids always cracked me up. Jimmy Fallon telling Nomar Garciaparra that it would "be an honor if you knocked up my sister" is one of the funniest lines ever.
"But I do know Joey's sister indirectly (or foster sister) and I have heard stories of Joey being into shopping, designer wear, fancy coffees, and pedicures."

Wasn't that a parody of the Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago?

Matt is my all time favorite. Loved the cheerleaders too. Geez, looking at everyone's selections, I can't begin to narrow it down to just 10.

My favorite skit was Celebrity Jeoprady. Sean Connery vs. Alex Trebek kills me every time.

I still remember when this show premiered in the '70's. It was unheard of for people to rush home on a Saturday night to watch a tv show, but we sure did.
