I'll agree that the Iowa game and the Rose Bowl were great games (even if Michigan did blow it - again), but none of the rest of it seemed very compelling to me, maybe it's just me.

Boise State # 12. Wow. I know they score a lot of points but I'm surprised.

What did Utah have to do to get #3, renounce all polygamist marriages in the state?

    14. Michigan 842 9-3
    20. Ohio State 8-4
Hmmmm. I thought OSU beat Michigan (beat them good) this year? I thought OSU won their bowl game (blew Okla. St. out) and Michigan blew their Bowl game? I gotta quit thinking! I know... 9-3 vs. 8-4.

Virginia Tech & Miami (FL) get way too much respect IMO. WAY TOO MUCH. California does too. And as far as I am concerned... Oklahoma too. Big 12? Big nuthin'. Two teams in the top-25 and the 2nd one is at 18th (at 8-4) only b/c they thumped the overrated California Golden Bears.

    Okay... I'm done! :mhcky21:

I don't know if they're really #3 or not, but I wached them a few times this year and that team can flat out play football. I really believe they were a top 5 team. that offense could score on ANYONE and their defense isn't bad. They beat Texas A&M by 20 points and beat UNC in North Carolina the week before they bea Miami. From what I watched, they were one of the best teams I saw this year.

Good point... I was thinking that the Buckeyes are certainly a better 8-4 team than Texas Tech at #18.

I'll agree with the "compelling" part. A lot of the matchups didn't make me want to run to the TV, either. I was interested in Cal-Texas Tech, and Louisville-Boise St. But there were a few pretty good games.

I was amazed at Ginn on OSU...how fast he was. Even in a blowout, I stayed tuned in to watch him on offense.

Would've been nice to see Auburn v. Utah, just to get a sense of how good Utah really is.

Actually, I was hoping Utah would play Texas. I don't think they could beat Auburn, but I think they WOULD HAVE beat Texas. Utah is better than Michigan this year.

    Re: Orange Bowl

Remember the quotes made earlier in the week by Oklahoma's Larry Birdine? You would have thought he would admit he was wrong. Instead, he decides to make a bigger fool of himself.

Larry Birdine: "I still don't regret what I said. Deep down inside, I still feel we're the better team. We just didn't show up today."
