    problems with IE and Firefox

Has anyone else had the problem with Internet Explorer and Firefox both shutting down after just a few minutes of usage? If anyone else has experienced this, does anyone know how to fix it?
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

Sounds like you've got a virus or something, sava. The fact that both are giving problems would seem to indicate that.

Help stamp out, eliminate, and do away with redundancy.

Re: problems with IE and Firefox

Is it just one web site or all?
Run the typical tools, Ad-aware, Spybot, and Hijackthis... You maybe the victim of a virus or Web Hi-jacker. Not too sure about the time issue?

    Oh a sperate note.
My sister is having a problem with a specific web site. I've not gotten to check her machine yet, but Sava's post made me think of posting it here. Firefox won't open the site because it's one of those sites that is exclusive. Has Frames, and Java, and Firefox won't handle it properly, only displays part of it.

When she opens it in IE, she gets to her login and it crashes IE. I've not run any of the things I mentioned. Any points of reference I can look at other than the tools I mentioned?

Re: problems with IE and Firefox

Apparently I was the victim of identity theft on a grand scale. I had the police looking for my car, my bank account frozen and my ATM card detained, billed for $3000 for a cell phone bill and $1200 for a neurologist, had tons of stuff appear on my credit card statement, had my internet account frozen for illegally spamming, etc. Most of it has been taken care of, but I can only figure that someone got my info through my computer. Here's my hijack this log, can anyone tell me what to do about it?

sava, if all of the stuff has been done to you, you've been seriously compromised.

Reformat your hard drive and reinstall.

i agree. I'd also be running multiple spyware removal tools, and something that masks your actual ip address, while giving you a virtual ip. a router costs less than $100 bucks. thanks to this thread, i'll be getting mine next week.
