Department: Marketing
Position: Cincinnati Reds Marketing Intern
Term: 2005 season (mid-March through MLB Playoffs)

Main responsibility is to execute game day promotions including pregame and in-game promotions. Pregame activities include, but are not limited to, first pitches, presentations, Fan Zone activities, the National Anthem & Honor Guard, and the bigg's Kids Run-On. In-game promotions include, but are not limited to, Mr. Red and Gapper escort, Skyline Chili PA Kid, Skyline Chili Shuffle and Big Red Sofa Express. Other tasks may include, assisting with giveaways and prize redemption.

Interns are required to work in the Reds Marketing Department offices on a rotating basis. Office duties will include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls, taking Scoreboard Message/Birthday Package orders, fulfilling Fan Pack requests, preparing the daily starting lineup boards, data entry, and additional miscellaneous office duties as needed.

Interns are required to assist with the Reds Rover field-marketing program throughout the season. Additional opportunities to work and special assignments will be offered throughout the season.

Must present self in a professional manner to interact with fans of all ages, sponsors, game day guests and on occasion, players. Must have the ability to handle and coordinate large groups of people in a secure and sensitive area. Must have a flexible work schedule that will allow intern to work nights, some daytime hours, weekends and holidays.
