Stick to your guns.
OMG.
He was the voice of a generation.
A sick and twisted voice, but an icon of my generation.

Whoa...
In his prime, he was magnificant.

Oh wow. I just don't even know what to say.

RIP Hunter, maybe you'll find peace now.

My favorite piece was his Kentucky Derby story. If you want to read a good sampler of his best stuff, buy "The Great Shark Hunt"

Wow just horrible news. One of my favorite writers ever. I was just wondering about him the other day he used to write for ESPN's website a lot and had not written much at all the last 3 or 4 months.
That was great stuff. I liked "Shark Hunt" and "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail". I know it's not supposed to be one of his classics but I liked "Generation of Swine".Originally Posted by RFS62

Warning: Major movie spoiler ahead...
What's strange about that? Well, the movie The Whole Wide World is the true story of author Robert Howard. The movie ends with Howard's suicide.
