I seem to only be able to bunt for hits with lefties, but it is sweet that you can slide into first.

Ya, when I bunted for a hit it was from the left side and I have indeed had trouble with righties.

It is cool that you can slide into first, but be careful: I just lost Dunn for 12 days doing that!

yeah, the only guys I've been able to bunt with have been Ichiro and Juan Pierre.

For some reason however, for reasons beyond comprehension, I dominate as the Padres.

    Can't figure out why.

I was able to bunt for a hit with Freel. Dropped it down the line perfectly.

    One question....

Can the DH be turned on in the NL regular season games or not?

It can be turned on or off for either league.

I have got a bunt down w/ Jacob Cruz and came real close w/ Milton, it seems like if you have a lefty up then you have a chance.

OK, another question (BTW, I use the PC version).....

How in the heck can I unlock the classic stadiums?

I have plenty of MVP points and I have unlocked the Astrodome.

But, even though I have enough to unlock many of the others, including Crosley, I cannot, because the UNLOCK option is not present.

Do I have to play several games in The Astrodome or something? Can anyone help me out?

Can anyone figure out how to take advantage of the unlockable players? I unlocked Johnny Bench, but he didn't appear for me to sign to my roster. What gives? In 2004 you could sign the classic players.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

    Are you in a season/dynasty?

You have to check the "Allow unlocked players" or something similiar when you first start that off to make them available. It's either you can or can't. I'm guessing you started with that option turned off, so you won't be able to switch that mid stream.

Re: EA Sports releases MVP 2005 early

Having had MVP 2005 for awhile, I now have a couple of complaints.

1- Why can't I view box scores other than the game I just played?

2- Why can't I view my pitchers starts over the course of a season.

3- On a ground ball hit to SS, my 3B dives for the ball, sometimes missing. Once the 3B misses, the SS doesn't back him up. Ball rolls right by him.

    4- Can't steal a base

5- My runners are too easily picked off.

6- The CPU puts left-handed fielders at ALL infield positions routinely.

I like the game, for the most part. These are just basic gripes.

You, my friend, have what is called High Heat-itus.

    4- Check your sliders
5- Turn Auto-Return runners on pickoff to ON
6- The AI can be retarded sometimes.

You playing on PC or console?

Playing PC. The auto-return on pickoff IS on, although it's hard to tell.

And I do have High Heat-itus.
