Legally he can't be on the game unless he was officially on the 25 man roster sometime in his career.

This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
One of the guys at operation sports, said a lot of Baseball America's top prospects are in MVP with proper stats height/weight, age, number... just a different name and no Pic... so the Minors for the game seem pretty good.
Just played got finished playing mine for just a couple of minutes....seems like its gonna be a great game....just ran through the Rosters real quick and i dont believe it has any players who havent played atleast one game in the Majors. So no coffey (i didnt see him on there) and definatly no encarnacion. Also Curt Schilling is a Free Agent for some reason. Larkin is a free agent....but other than the roster problems (which I expected) the game is great. Ill update late tonight once i get to play it more.
how is the reds team ranking if you play in exhibition mode? compared to other teams and such
Picking up my reserved copy of MVP tomorrow at gamestop.
As I recall they were dead last in last years version. I wasn't very happy about that. I'd be interested to know how they rank this year as well.Originally Posted by foltza

This was at the Florence (KY) location. I don't know if the guys were talking about ALL Best Buys or just theirs.Originally Posted by redsfan2

Anyone in the Northern Kentucky area been able to find an Xbox copy anywhere yet?
I was just at Gamestop in Lima and they had MVP now and said that they would have MLB 2k5 by the end of the week. I am planning on getting MLB 2k5 just b/c I am most familiar with that game.

Thats cool then I had already ordered it thinking he would be in it to start. But we have a feeling he will be there sometime this year. At the very least the rosters are supposed to update with stats that you can download, so I will just have to wait for that update. Which is what I am going to do with my fantasy team.Legally he can't be on the game unless he was officially on the 25 man roster sometime in his career.
So far this is the team. Any comments.

Check the Reds minor league system for us please... The folks at Operation Sports are saying there are a lot of top prospects there, just the names are changed... Look for a Reds 3rd baseman with Encarnacions Birthday, ht/wt... etc...Originally Posted by Shaknb8k
Very curious about it.
I heard last year, that the only players not in the game are not affiliated with the MLBPA.
Those are
-Guys who've never made a 25 man roster. When they do make it, they will always be apart of the MLBPA
-Guys who crossed the picket line and played as replacement players(Rick Reed, Damian Miller, Brian Daubach, etc). The MLBPA considers those guys scabs and will never let them join. Not too many of them around any more.
-Guys who refuse to sign with the MLBPA's licensing agreement. The only player who has done this to my knowledge is Barry Bonds.
Zito is a personal favorite to use.Originally Posted by Coffeybro
One thing I've found, when you are playing live people, is that most have a bad time handling 12 to 6 curve balls.
Pitches that move left to right or even diagonally can be spotted. But those curves are tough, and I kill with guys like Zito.
Started a career with the A's and won a Cy Young with him last year. Hopefully Otsuka has his weird tick programmed into the game like they do with Nomo and Weber.
otherwise, other than getting a real 3rd baseman other than bellhorn, I'd say damn fine choices
