Lawmaker Takes on a Difficult Issue

    http://www.channelcincinnati.com/mon...74/detail.html

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Don't you just hate it when you get to a movie theater on time, only to sit through a bunch of previews and commercials?

So does Illinois state lawmaker Jack Franks.

He is proposing a law that would require theaters to list two starting times. One for trailers and commercials and the other for when the movie actually starts.

He said the real starting time is important information, especially for parents who have to arrange for baby sitters. Theater owners don't like idea of dual starting times, fearing people won't be in their seats for the trailers.

Franks admitted his issue isn't of the earth-shaking variety. He said he won't fall on his sword for it.

Gotta like a lawmaker who's already caving before the legislation is proposed.

Clearly the babysitter lobby isn't what it once was.

    In a world...

    Where time is short.

    Where seconds count.

One man decides to make a difference.

One man decides to do whatever it takes.

    Johnny!

Call it "Earth-Shaker," or maybe "Sword Faller." Yeah!

"Earth Shaker" was the working title, but test audiences didn't like it.

The studio also tried "Sword Faller", but there's a new Vin Diesel/Britney Spears project with that same title.

I dunno....Ben Affleck probably isn't a good enough actor for this movie.
"Hey...Dad. Wanna Have A Catch?" Kevin Costner in "Field Of Dreams."
