    The Return of MST3K!!! (Kinda)

    From http://www.mst3kinfo.com/

MIKE, SERVO AND CROW IN THE "CHEAP SEATS"
For the first time since 1999, Mike Nelson, Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot will make a new appearance on television, riffing the March 14th episode of ESPN Classic's Cheap Seats with Randy and Jason Sklar. The episode will air at 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Get those recording devices ready!
    ---

I've never seen Cheap Seats, but I'll be watching on the 14th.

Now, if only they'd come back full time.

My favorite all time non MST3K appearance by one of the cast members is Tom Servo having a cameo as a stolen droid in the legendary Star Wars fan film "Troops".

Actually it's a lot like MST3K. They play old sports stuff like wrestling, Wide World of Sports, CBS Sports Spectacular, etc. and they will make smart comments about the show they are watching. I think it's safe to say it's an homage to MST3K.

Remember Blonde Bleacherette? Do I have the name right? She was their all time biggest fan.

She was one great writer too, and hilarious.

Nice girl, not sure why she vanished. She had it out with someone. I enjoyed her input very much.

Would anyone here admit to owning the Showgirls (VIP Limited Edition) DVD set? It has an alternate audio track with MST3K-like commentary from David Schmader.

I am not sure anyone anywhere wants that. I had an opportunity several times to get a new copy of that and sell it on eBay, but the few low bids others were getting for theirs were so low I deemed it onworthy of my time. Is it really as bad as I have always heard?
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Showgirls may have been light in the plot, but I don't think that's why people watched it.

Just a bump for anyone who has forgot to set their Tivo's.

It's bad, but not really the fun kind of bad. More like the "I want those two hours of my life back" bad.

But don't get M2 started on it. He's convinced that "Showgirls" is supposed to be a satire of exploitation movies, and as such, it's brilliant. I disagree -- I think that's like calling a Jackie Collins book a satire of trashy novels.
