My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
I was kinda suprised it got a PG-13 rating...I heard that Geo. Lucas said in an interview that this movie "wasn't for little kids.." or something along those lines. Is this true? If so, I'm can't see what the logic would be behind that comment. It would seem that LucasFilms would do whatever necessary to AVOID the PG-13 rating in this film.
Lots and lots of $$$ will be lost on the "under 13" market (who are about one month away from gettting out of school)...
I read that the Obi-Wan/Dark Anakin lightsabre duel is the longest on-screen fight in cinema history -- something like 20 minutes of screen time (broken up by cuts to other scenes, I assume).
The only thing better would be a 20 minute scene of Vader dismembering Jar-Jar.
PG-13 isn't like R. Theatres don't prohibit children under the age of 13 from seeing the movie, and they don't have to be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Lucas will still make his half-billion dollars.Lots and lots of $$$ will be lost on the "under 13" market (who are about one month away from gettting out of school)...
Actually, I think PG-13 is a smart move. The last three SW movies (including Return of the Jedi) pandered too heavily to children and suffered because of it. The original Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back were darker and edgier (prior to the "Special Edition" re-releases), and far superior films.

I'm not kidding. I know all the words.

I actually thought Lucas would really try to "bridge the gap" with this film. Meaning, he would go out of his way to pander to the young audience. Why not make it PG? It's not like it would actually PREVENT the dude in his late 30's-early 40's dressing up like Bobba Fett and camping out for his tickets one opening night/week.Actually, I think PG-13 is a smart move. Geez, they need to chill out on the marketing. Check this out...
Darth Tater? The toys hit stores April 2. Among surprise hits: a Star Wars chess set ($29.99) and Darth Tater ($7.99), a whimsical rendition of Mr. Potato Head dressed up as Vader.
I guess that matches with the end of RotJ, when Darth Tater was "fried".

I'm already not happy, I've read more then once that Jar Jar lives
