Blast at U.K. Consulate in NYC

Anybody heard anything about this? No injuries are being reported but other than that, I can't find anything.

Report: Two blasts at UK Consulate in New York
NEW YORK (AP) — Two explosions were heard outside the British Consulate early Thursday, causing slight damage to the building but injuring no one, officials said.
The explosions occurred about 3:50 a.m. and apparently originated in or near a cement flower box outside the consulate in midtown Manhattan, said police department spokesman Noel Waters.

There were reports of damage to the building's front door and a window, he said. The department's bomb squad was at the scene.

In Britain, voters were voting in national elections, a heated race in which Prime Minister Tony Blair's fight for a third term could be hampered by public anger over the Iraq war.

Heard on the radio this morning that authorities are saying that someone put gunpowder in old hand grenade shells and set them off. Sounds like an amateur job by some foolish idiot. Hope the fool(s) gets to sit in jail for awhile to think of better hobbies.

No, Al-Quaida doesn't hate flowers. The hate our freedom. They hate democracy. They hate the American way of life.

    The IRA hates flowers.

So that means...it's IRA vs. FTD, right?
