give it up fellas, I did a week ago. There it no use *****in' about the lineup because after 6 weeks it's pretty clear that Miley isn't going to figure it out.

Well, Randa's GO/FO ratio of 0.66 is the lowest among Reds starters, so maybe Dave is on to something (we hope).

So with a runner on he'll fly out instead of ground out? JollyOriginally Posted by oneupper

Surprisingly, this is one of my favorite lineups put out lately.
I want Dunn higher and wish Jimenez didn't have to play, but I don't mind seeing Randa in the 3rd spot.
The top of our order could produce tonight. Hopefully.

Dave Miley values contact over secondary skills, he see contact to an out as being the "batting skill" not avoiding the out. It's a pretty common approach. But Dave also favors vet contact hitters over OB skills. I see what he's doing, hoping that he can avoid a string of strikeouts, Wolf is a LH, I don't begrudge Dunn being in the 5th slot against him, I prefer Kearns #3 though.
Marty and Dave just agreed that the offense is as much to blame.
It just gets stranger and stranger.
Pretty impressed with Felipe's interview.

Passing the buck, but the offense is on pace to be worst then last year.Originally Posted by flyer85

there are certainly a number of offensive players performing below expectations. The only everyday players performing above are Dunn and Randa.Originally Posted by westofyou
Absolutely. Last year the team was scoring 4, 5 or 6 a game. Every game.Originally Posted by westofyou
Now its 2 or 3 for several games and then a 11 run explosion.
4, 5 or 6 will keep you in a game. With 2 or 3 and this pitching staff, you are going to lose EVERY time.
Similar Run average, different standard deviation.
