I'm enjoying Dan Hoard, though. When he gets the chance to speak. I really don't miss Chris. Put him and George together and you get a non-stop taling spree.

Grande just called Bob Boone a "brilliant baseball mind". It's like I get a comedy show AND a baseball game all in one. That's REAL VALUE, folks!

Yeah. Hoard is actually good and, IMO, was having a difficult time following Grande's line of thinking on the "big hitter presence" thing. It was almost like he was trying to avoid saying anything rational- thereby making Grande look stupid.

Gotta say, despite the little blow up, I have been impressed with Ramirez.

whoops. Cora GO to Case, Peralta GO to Randa.

He gives up long flies. Loses concentration. No out pitch. He's a keeper.

Back to Ramirez a moment. Yes he's given up 5 runs but overall despite that one inning he has pitched economically, with a ton of first pitch strikes. The runs I attribute to youth. And he'll mature. His first inning after those runs scored he sttled down right away.

He probably thinks Bucky Showalter doesn't over-manage too...or Dusty Baker knows how to use a pitcher

Went to a pig roast today. Dinner was a brownie.

Proceeds to fight a waste water plant in a tiny community on a gorgeous river. It was worth the cholesterol.

I think the health department shut them down, but I didn't die, so it's all good.
