That's what happens when you carry your entire game in batting average. He should try laying off a pitch from time to time.

And BTW, his line in April was .295/.330/.557 for an OPS of .887. That hardly qualifies him as one of the best three in the game. Maybe top 20, but no better. In other words, he was hot for a couple of weeks and has doing nothing otherwise.

Jason Lane ended April with a .330 OBP and a .887 OPS.

    He's got a .388 OPS in May.

And here I thought all he needed was more playing time?

It's a good thing the Indinans sacrifice bunted after the lead-off guy got on base.

Kearns is trying to hit an 8-Run HR right now.

C'mon, the Indians are an offensive juggernaut. They had to erupt sooner or later. Graves was just unfortunate to be on the mound when it happened. He was trying.

Funniest thing is Hoard was just bragging him up, about how his sinker was back and he didn't remember how it felt. Guess it wasn't biting today.

An .887 OPS in April=one of the three best OFers in the NL?

    Somehow, I doubt that.

Yea', I still don't understand designating D'Lo. I have the feeling this may be the worst run organization in baseball right now.

I wonder if Graves can play 2B? It couldn't be worse than having him on the mound. Could it?

And here you told me that Graves was not smoking the good stuff last year, are you still so sure? Mr. Laid Back Graves........

In Baseball Weekly he was named to the first team outfield in the NL for April.

Cleveland Indians Bullpen 2004- 4.88 ERA, .794 OPS Against

Cleveland Indians Bullpen 2005- 2.41 ERA, .557 OPS Against

Well now...bullpen repair can happen- and quickly. Not by Dan O'Brien, mind you. But it can happen.
