On the bright side, if this game goes extra innings we have Bergolla in the 3 hole. Wooooohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then we move to a pitchers league where the average SLG is 150. You might have a 10 pct chance to score from first, and a 25 pct from second. So the gain is 15 and the loss only 10. Get on your track shoes!
That makes sense. I was using the expected runs matrix as the value of the base situation. Is there a metric that takes SLG into account when figuring stole base success rates that you know of? I've got the formula from BP but I don't know if it takes that into account. Thanks.

    What the heck.

Schneider singles and Frank Robinson pinch runs for him...with Gary Bennett- another catcher!

    Top of the 8th:

Mercker in to pitch. Bergolla now at 2nd, L.Lopez at 3rd, Freel in LF, Dunn at 1B. (I think.)

Schneider leads off with a single. Gary Bennett comes in to run for him.

Hernandez, who has thrown 123 pitches, is batting. He sacrifices Bennett to 2B, Hernandez is out at first. 1 out.

Wilkerson is supposedly at bat, but all Marty and Steve are talking about is the trivia question. A-ha! Wilkerson Ks, 2 outs. (Thank you Gameday.)

    Carroll pops up, 3 outs.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

I don't mean to laugh. I think this season has finally driven me insane.

Just getting caught up with the game thread...

So, if the Reds win tonight, what else gets taken out of the clubhouse?

Maybe replace the whirpool with a washtub and a boat motor?
