Felipe Lopez has cemented himself as the starting SS. All he has done this years is progress and produce.

He'll be benched the day RA comes off the DL, i just know it.

Lopez has very good opposite field power. Hit that ball off the end of that bat into the Pirate bullpen.

    Kearns and Dunn walk.

Perez threw Perez 1 strike that atbat...1 more than he should have.

I'm really liking Lopez. His performance this year is further proof as to why he should be the starting shortstop and Auriliia should be shipped elsewhere.

This lineup construction is going to cost the reds at least 2-3 runs tonight. bank on that.

Man, If I were Jacob Cruz, I'd be pretty pissed about this lineup. Guy was the last ML player to start a game, Romano gets called up, what a few days ago, and gets a start.

I really don't give a crap about the lefty matchup when said lefty has a 7+ era.

There isn't a SS in the NL that I would take over Lopez. Barmes is a nice player and all, but I like Lopez better. Lopez has much better plate discipline.

Felipe leads all NL SS in OPS.

Oliver Perez singles with 2 outs.

Bergolla with a decent play to end the inning.

    2-1 Pirates after 1-1/2

Defensively, Bergolla has it all over D'lo.

    Offensively... blech at this point.

Valentin flies out to Redman just short of the track.

    The Lizard K's. 2-1 Buccos after 2.
