Picked a fine time to have Randa get hurt......an excuse to play RA.

I would still bat him 8th (9th if Milton is pitching)

I'm glad to see that Felipe didn't get knocked out of the lineup for Aurilia's return. But I'd still much rather see a lineup that didn't have Aurilia's name in it at all.

They sure didn't waste any time getting Aurilia back in the lineup. DM says Randa's getting the day off so he can play in Houston on Monday.

So, who had Rich Aurillia starting on his first day back in the pool?

Folks, it makes sense that Randa gets the day off on a day game after a night game, especially since his foot problem is still noticable. (Several people, including Marty, have commented on his hobbling when he runs.) So someone has to fill in--either Rich Aurilia or Luis Lopez. I agree with what others--I think it was Steel and WOY--have said that you don't want to call up Encarnacion too soon and start his arbitration clock. So you have to play one of the utility infielders. And as long as Aurilia is being used as a utility infielder--which is the role we had all envisioned for him when he signed here--I have no problem with him playing.

Aurillia must have something written in his contract.....Like play me more or pay me more.

"The Reds have been without two really important players for awhile, Rich Aurillia and WMP"-Pirates Announcer.

Where's Grande and Welsh when you need them?

Is EVERY announcer in baseball a complete moron?

The upside is the Bucs have two Aurilia's in the lineup today, Wigginton and Wilson. It's like the $1.98 Beauty Show out there.

On a separate note, wouldn't it be standard old school management to bat the guy leading the NL in homers in the #4 slot? Miley's a gomer no matter what stick you measure him with.

And one of the Pirates' Aurilias is hitting fourth.

    -Sanchez grounded out to Aurilia.

-Claussen gets ahead of Redman 1-2, but walks him. Couldn't put him away.

    -Bay popped out to Lopez

    -Wiggington K's looking. Nice pitch!

Let Miley sing "Back Home Again in Indiana" and bring Jim Nabors in to manage the Reds.
